The Snow In The Summer Or So-So

Site stats for May 2003

Compiled June 1, 2003.

All results compiled by Webalizer from access logs.

30,106 hits (+16% on last month), including 6518 pages (-8%), from 3574 unique visitors (-24%). That's an average of 40 hits per hour, or 210 pages per day. Busiest days were 12th and 13th, after I'd radically changed the site layout; quietest without a (known) network outage the 30th and 31st.

For this list, I don't combine similar search terms, that's below. Interesting how #4 is so precise, and with such a strange word order. Also that Ms Damato scored more hits than either of the last two on PIUS2.

Internet Explorer claws back some of its lost market share in the last four months, but still counts for only 85.87% of my visits, up 6.57% on last month. Netscape and Mozilla 5.16% (down 0.55%), the Googlebot 2.50% (down 2.32%), Altavista's Scooter has 2.47% (down 4.16%), and ia_archiver best of the rest at 1.11%. Opera and Konqueror both registered 0.24%.

Amongst consumer browsers, IE has 93.84% (+1.40), Mozilla 5.64% (-0.99), Konquerer 0.26% (-0.48), Opera 0.26% (+0.02).

34.53% of resolved hits went to .com addresses; 18.64% to .net, 16.17% to .uk addresses. .edu addresses are now fourth, accounting for 1.54%, with Australia pipping Canada to fifth by one hit - both register 1.28%. The Netherlands, the US, Belgium, and New Zealand all made at least 0.5%, and 67 distinct top level domains visited my site. 17.16% of visits just left an IP address.
