A trip to Tucson

Dec 01 - Jan 02

Sights...

streetcar
Unlike such backwards countries as the UK, they have lots of buses and trams on the streets of Tucson, and almost no traffic jams. Unless it snows. Which it didn't.

santa's little cactus eaters
Now here's something you don't see too often... the reindeer made out of wire mesh, and planted next to some garden greenery.

coffee bus
It's a bus, and it sells coffee. What more could you want?

...vistas...

sunburst
Taken at Summerhaven. The picture pretty much speaks for itself.

mountain view 1
First of two views taken part way up Mount Lemmon, looking in the general direction of Tucson.

mountain view 2
Second of two views taken part way up Mount Lemmon, looking in the general direction of Tucson. I think the sky is more the focus here than the city.

see for miles
Another view taken from the same place. This is looking roughly east, where the mountains and the desert go on for miles and miles and miles.

see for miles 2
This one's looking south from somewhere near Cory's house. One can still see for miles.

...and people

cory
It was cold up at Summerhaven. Cory warms a hand next to the brazier.

paulo
Paulo was the only one of us to get along with the annoying dog.
