a picture collection

A miniature to begin with, the path along the top of Rednal Hill.

Up on Rednal Hill, looking just west of south. The suburbs are slowly swallowed by the greenery of the Lickey Hills.

Same location as above, looking east of south. The contrast couldn't be greater.

This I really like. Rednal Hill, about 500 yards west of the previous shots, looking roughly northeast to the Longbridge plant, and into the rising sun.

Almost the same spot as the last one, now looking roughly west.

This is just over the dip you can see in the previous picture, looking north and north west. Don't think this one really worked that well.

This one did. Swivel to look just south of west, and see Rubery spread out. The Frankley Hill is visible towards the right side.

First of a couple of shots on my way down the hill.

An extreme closeup of some of the bracken. You can just make out the frost on the tendrils.

This lot are on the Lickey Road. First one's looking roughly north, towards the city centre. I don't know what it is about this picture, but I really like this one.

Over the road, and stick my nose into Cofton Park. A breath of greenery at the city's edge.

Looking up the Lickey Road, about 7:45 of the morning. On any other day, this road would be streaming with traffic at 60, 80 vehicles per minute. Today, I can take time to compose my shot and not get in anyone's way.

This one's looking north along the southbound carrigeway. They used to run trams along the central reservation: this morning, they're running nothing.
