Goalfest

A high-scoring week in England, where Portsmouth and Reading ran up a baseball score, Portsmouth winning 7:4. (Slapped wrists to the Radio 5 commentators who called it a rigby score, for you cannot score 4 points in rugby.) Tottenham Hotspur came from 4:1 down to grab a magnificent 4:4 draw at the Birmingham Browns; the Spurs remain in the UEFA Cup and in the relegation zone.

Inter won 4:1 at Roma to take a decisive step ahead in the division. And Celtic head Division A on goal difference from Rangers.
