17 Queen's Park Rangers - Watford 1:1
15 Valladolid - Real Madrid 1:1
15 AC Milan - Parma 1:1

Three big upsets in Scotland allow Rangers - 3:0 winners over Aberdeen - to take the lead in the SPL, and a clear lead in the Glickoblog-Football rankings. First wins of the season for Hansa Rostock and Sheffield Wednesday were always going to be upsets, but Marseille will be particularly grumpy at losing their match. In non-upset news, Barcelona beat Seville, and Manchester Buccaneers beat CSKA Kensington Under New Management.

Lyon's shaky start to the season hasn't been enough to stop them from leading France, but that owes more to the shaky state of the rest of the league. There was no clear challenger last season, and one has yet to emerge in this campaign. At the bottom, Metz and Caen are already looking like relegation fodder. Troyes has yet to play ranked opposition.

LVG (II) 555 145.8

As we mentioned, Rangers are now clearly ahead of Celtic, with Aberdeen best of the rest. Wins for Gretna and Inverness now mean St Mirren prop up the table, and Dunfermline is yet to play this season.
